Physics 11-30-17 Simple Machines

PHYSICS: Did you remember this stuff on simple machines from your physical science days? I don’t think you’ll have any trouble with efficiency and mechanical advantage problems. Give them a whirl and let me know!

How do you think the efficiencies of machines compare? Could you design a method to test that? You don’t need no stinkin’ lab sheets! Do you?

Physics 11-27-17 Intro to Work & Energy

PHYSICS: Funny thing about words, all this work you thought you’d been doing, was it work after all?

Great intro to chapter 5! I think you’ll do great with the work problems, just remember everything from the last chapter and multiply by d!

Physics 11-15-11 Intro to Work

PHYSICS: Funny thing about words, all this work you thought you’d been doing, was it? Work, I mean? Great intro to chapter 5! Jakin, I think you almost did move the lab station! ๐Ÿ™‚ And I think you’ll all do great with the work problems, just remember everything from the last chapter and multiply by d!

BTW – Did you figure out what to do with the conveyer belt problem from the end of class? Why were you supposed to subtract?
