<p>Scientists at the Alameden Research Center at IBM really wowed the scientific community when they were able to arrange xenon atoms in the shape of &#8220;IBM&#8221;. It was a giant leap <img src='http://tskinnersbec.edublogs.org/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> in the field of nanotechnology!  Now they&#8217;re working on measuring forces on an atomic scale.   Click on this link to the article, to find out more about it.  <a class="alignright" title="Atomic Scale Forces" href="http://www.almaden.ibm.com/st/nanoscale_st/nano_science/STMAFM/" target="_blank">Atomic Scale Forces</a></p>
