  1. I would rate myself a 3/5 for this week. I don’t think I did very good on the lab. I messed up on the positive and negative on the elements but overall I think my pictures look right. I hope that I didn’t mess up too bad on it. One thing I am glad about is that I am staying on top of my work for the project and I hopefully will pay off in the long run. I’m hoping that the rest of the lesson will be easier to understand and that I will do good on the test

  2. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. A first I didn’t understand the lewis structures but I went to the help session and understand them better. I tried my best on the worksheet but I am a little confused on the polar and non polar bonds of the diploids. I hope to go back and try to understand them better

  3. This week I would rate myself a 2/5. I still can barely grasp the lewis structures. I however have managed to turn in my cLab on time and completed. The worst part of it all is I had failed to get all of the homework accounted for, and for that I am dissapointed in myself.

  4. I rate myself a 2/5 this week I kinda get the lewis structures and I turned my Clab in completed yet i didn’t complete all my homework and need to learn to check the syllabus everyday.

  5. This week I rate myself a 3/5. I prescribed this rating due to my neglectful completion of the homework. Consequently, I received poor grades on the worksheets due to careless errors which could have easily been avoided had I checked my answers more thoroughly as Ms. Skinner suggested. Despite this, I performed adequately on both memorization quizzes, and I feel prepared for the test next week. I already memorized the activity series, which was much less difficult than I had predicted, and I feel as if I understand how to balance chemical equations. This chapter is mostly comprised of memorization with only one form of application, chemical equations. Therefore, I feel as if I will perform well. On the other hand, I have yet to truly begin to run the marathon that we call the project. I have merely done my warm-up stretches. Hitherto, I have done nothing except choose my ten items. I believe I chose most items correctly; however, due to the ambiguity of the necessities and the location of the mine shaft, I most likely have approximately four erred items. I plan to eradicate a large portion of the project over this Easter break and finish the remainder throughout the week. All in all, this has been a good week, and I hope the scarce remainings weeks are of equal caliber.

  6. This week I rate myself a 3/5. I went to the help session Tuesday morning and that REALLY helped me to better understand drawing the Lewis Structures. I feel like I did well on the Clab, but I am still confused on determining if the bonds are polar or non polar. I am going to study extra extra hard for the test coming up next week, so i can really boost my grade!:)

  7. This week I would rate myself 4/5. I went to the help session and it really helped and I understood the notes we took.

  8. This week i rate myself a 3/5. At first i didnt understand Lewis structures but after going to the help session it helped me a lot. I think i did pretty good on the clab, but need to study hard and make a good grade on the test coming up.

  9. For this week I rate myself a 3/5. I get what we’re learning right now but I still don’t totally get the lewis structures. I think I did pretty good on my lab and I have been good about not procrastinating on doing my homework. I am also going to make sure to study for the next test a lot so I can get my grade up.

  10. This week I rate myself a 3/5. I feel like I have a good understanding of the note we have taken and how to write chemical reactions, however, I did not do as well on the worksheets as I thought I did, but I did much better on the second one. I have done a pretty good job with working on the project every night but I am not nearly as far into it as I want to be, I plan to work really hard on it over the break so I can work on it throughout next week without being too overwhelmed

  11. This week I would rate myself a 3/5 mostly because I had a hard time on the worksheet understanding the polar and nonpolar but I plan on watching the vodcast to understand it better. I feel good about the lab too.

  12. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. The material that we have been learning seems very easy to understand and I believe that the notes I have been taking will give me more help when it is time for the test

  13. This week I’d rate myself 3/5. I grinded out on my project already but am worried about putting it off just because I’ve gotten so far. I’m not looking forward to the homework and the project over break but I know I’ll work hard and get it done regardless. I did my best this week to pay attention and studied at home. I struggled with being anxious about the current workload.

  14. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. I think I did good on the lab. I’m worried about the chemistry project and how I’ll manage my time with getting it done along with the homework but I have hope I’ll find time. I did okay with the notes and new information we learned this week but I’m very appreciative for this break we are getting but also excited to celebrate Easter with my friends and family this weekend. Happy Easter Ms. Skinner!!!

  15. I would rate myself a 3/5 this week. I struggled with the lab a little. But I’m kinda starting to understand everything now. I took good notes in class and everything this week. And the lab we did today was really cool seeing all the colors disperse in different ways.

  16. I rate myself a 3/5 for this week. I understood most of the lab, but some of the molecules I was a little confused on. I have started studying for my test, but I haven’t researched a lot of my project yet. I plan to finish my research this weekend so I will be able to write my project next week.

  17. This week I rate myself a 3.5/5. I think I did well paying attention in class. Hopefully I can retain all the information that I learned in class. I am glad to be off for Easter break now.

  18. I would rate this week a 4/5 because I brought my grade up and I did my homework and I’ve working on my project

  19. i would rate myself a 3/5 for this week. i struggled paying attention in class and was busy all week. i plan to have more time to research my project over this break.

  20. This week I rate myself a 4/5. I missed some homework and it brought my grade down. Hopefully I’ll do good on the project and do all my homework in the future so my grade goes up.

  21. This week I’d rate myself a 4.35/5. I’ve really been enjoying this chapter so far. A lot of it is almost axiomatic; it follows directly from the previously assumed model of atoms. Lewis structures are pretty cool, albeit tedious, and I really like polarity as I’ve studied it before in the context of molecular symmetry. I felt pretty good about the homework assignments this week, but I feel as though I probably made some careless mistakes. I’ve been trying to learn some more chemistry on my own for the past few weeks, and more specifically I just started on thermochem. Some fields of science and math are so completely and utterly boring, and to me this is one of them. If I remember correctly, a lot of thermochem is based off of results from statistical mechanics, which is infamous for being so boring that both the primary founder of the field and his student committed suicide. Alas, I must still push through in the hopes that it will eventually get better. The ACT scores got back this week, and I am satisfied with my score. I really feel as though God must have been guiding my mind during this test because I scored significantly higher than I had on any practice test previously, and that was in ideal conditions! All in all, this week was pretty good. It could be better, but looking back there’s not much I would change.

  22. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I went to the help session and it really helped on the Lewis structures. I’m a little confused on the dipole but I’ll work on it this weekend.

  23. This week I rate myself a 3/5 I feel pretty good about drawing Lewis structures and dipoles. I have begun my research for the project and I am almost done with that part of it. I hope I did well on my cLab and had fun doing the little experiment today.

  24. this week i rate myself a 2/5 because i forgot a homework and my grade dropped two points, and i’m honestly not thriving at all this 9 weeks and it’s really showing—hopefully i can’t recharge over this holiday weekend and bring my grade back up when we come back. anyways, have a great weekend and happy easter!!

  25. I would rate myself a 3/5 this week. I was a little confused on the Lewis structures for ions but the help session helped a lot. I understand what we’re learning for the most part and I hope to make a lot of progress on my project this weekend.

  26. This week I rate myself a 1.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001/5 because I feel like my notes could have been better and I could have payed attention better. I also am falling behind on the project so i need to step it up. Hopefully i can be better next week.

  27. This weak I rate my self 3.6702/ 5.0 ( of course if this was a rating out of 10 it would be 7.3404) I could’ve done better, but I failed to complete one of my homework. it really did ruin my day when I realized that I lost points due to procrastination and laziness I know. I can do and must do better.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I will continue to apply this verse to my everyday chemistry life. next week I truly believe that i can achieve a 3.7801/5.0 (7.5602/10).

  28. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. The mini lab we did it class was fun to do and going to work a lot of my project this weekend. I hope everyone will have an awesome Easter Break.

  29. This week I’d rate myself a 3/5. That being because I have been cramming all the classes together and not giving every class a certain amount of study time individually. Hopefully the Test will go well.
