Chemistry 4-10-19 Polyatomic Ions & Molecular Geometry

CHEMISTRY: Great job with polyatomic ions and molecular geometry today! Who knew we’d be doing geometry in chemistry?!?

For tomorrow, be sure and print and read the cLAB: 3D Molecules! Advice for Lewis structures – don’t forget to count the electrons! And then double check the number of electrons. And when you think it’s right, count the electrons!! 🙂

Advice for molecular geometry? Make sure you know how to draw Lewis structures, then determine the type of ABE structure and you’ve got it. Easy-peazy!

  1. This week I would give myself a 3/5. I have been paying a lot of attention to detail to how Lewis Structure should be written and how they need to be written for full credit

  2. this week I rate myself a 3/5. I didn’t do so good on my test but I am going to improve my grade by studying hard and improving my work ethic to finish the year strong.

  3. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. I’m really struggling on how to do the lab but I’m working on it and will try to finish it correctly. I’m staying on track with the project by doing it a little each nigh so hopefully it will pay off in the end!!

  4. i rate myself 3/5 this week. i figured out how to work molview pretty quickly. i’m a little confused on how to draw some of the lewis structures for the lab, though.

  5. This week, I rate myself a 2/5. I did not fully understand molecular geometry and I am a tiny bit lost on it. I have improved on drawing the Lewis structures though. I am ready for Easter so I can get a tiny bit of a break from schoolwork. I also cannot wait for summer and to be done with this school year. I hope that next week will be better and also hope that it will go by quickly.
