Hon Chemistry 2-27-19 Intro to Chemical Bonds & Covalent Bonding

HON CHEMISTRY: Hey guys, welcome to chemical bonds! Great job on using electronegativity to determine bond type. Make sure you add the scale and also the diatomic molecules to your “things I have to memorize and know how to use for the test” list.

  1. This week I rate myself a 4/5. I thoroughly enjoyed the explore zone research that we conducted in class this week. However, I do not feel that I have made enough progress to be on track with my preconceived trajectory of timely completion. On the other hand, I was pleased with my test grade from last week. I finally made it through a test without making some sort of mistake, and for that, I am truly grateful. Also, I am very excited for spring break next week because I get to visit my cousins in Australia. Unfortunately, the flight is more than 17 hours long; therefore, I need to begin formulating methods of self-entertainment. All things considered, this was a fun week and I hope to have many more like it.

  2. I rate myself a 4/5. When we got back our tests, I was very excited about my grade. It was the highest test grade I have gotten the entire school year in this class. I fully understood everything on it, but I made a few careless mistakes. This week I understood the new notes, and this chapter seems that it will be a good chapter. To continue doing better on tests, I am going to start reviewing and making note cards before hand. Overall, this was a good week for me, and I am excited for the next chapter.

  3. This week I rate myself a 2/5 because I’ve been very hard on myself. When doing explore zone research, I just wanted to find an idea and be done with it, but God didn’t intend for that to happen. He wanted me to learn patience and that sometimes waiting to do something is ok! All in all, I found out things I need to improve about myself from the test as well. Although I got a really good grade, I wanted it to be perfect. Thank you, Mrs. Skinner, for helping me realize this things I need to work on this week.

  4. I rate myself a 4/5 this week. I’m extremely happy with my test grade. The notes for this week weren’t too bad either. Although I do feel a little behind on Explorezone research but I plan on working more in it this weekend. Overall, this week wasn’t bad in chemistry despite it being show week and being immensely tired.
