Physics 1-11-19 Collision Homework

PHYSICS: Here’s a new way to study collisions! Somebody’s having way too much fun with veggies!

How are you doing with last night’s homework? Here’s our look at some of the conceptual questions and a look at setting up some of the homework.

Are you ready to crank it up a bit? Here’s a hint – check for connections between the conservation of momentum and the conservation of energy. You can do it!

  1. So far, I am really enjoying this chapter. The concepts are not too difficult, and the math is really similar to what we’ve been doing. However, I am going to not take this for granted and make sure I do not get lazy! That means still doing my reading and studying. I really struggle with making myself study when I feel confident in the information and that usually comes back to bite me.

  2. This week I rate myself a 4/5 for this week. I think i did very good on the lab this week. I have been taking very good notes and understand what is going on. I have also been working ahead on my homework.

  3. I think this week has been pretty good. It’s been a little odd getting back into the normal groove of school after being out for a couple weeks. So far I am liking this chapter. But I’m sure that will he changed soon enough.

  4. This week in physics went really well. The content that we are learning right now I really understand. I have been doing good on the homework’s and I’ve been comprehending the lessons well. Ive also been doing my homework on time and not rushing to get it done! I’ve been off to a good start and I’m hoping to keep it up.

  5. So far, I am understanding the concept of momentum pretty well. I’m doing good on my homework and I understand how to work the problems and why it happens. No question or problems yet. I am going to have to look at how to round again though. Whoops. Everything is starting out good so far this week.

  6. I have been doing good so far this semester. I did good on the last homework but I found I made a ton of simple mistakes. I am disappointed that I missed the even though I knew how to work them. My brain is still getting into the swing of things but once it’s going it will be a great year. I am a little nervous about the homework that’s due Monday since it’s difficult I am really hoping I can master it before school.

  7. This week has been pretty good so far! Although my group’s egg challenge didn’t go as well as we planned (my model at home worked each time, so naturally it failed during the challenge), I think I understand this chapter a lot more than some of the previous ones because I am keeping up with the reading! I am sure going to miss the days when we worked lots of problems together *sniff*, but hopefully by staying on top of homework and reading, I will be able to do them better on my own. I’m a little nervous about this lightbulb drop challenge because of the way our egg drop turned out AND might I add, a little something called a TEST that is rapidly approaching… I guess we shall see!! I hope we all have enough momentum to get us through the week ahead! 😉

  8. This week in physics went very well for me. I actually feel pretty confident in the problems we’ve worked so far! This chapter so far is clicking for me; I think it makes so much sense because it really is kind of building off of concepts we’ve already learned. Hopefully the rest of the chapter goes just as smoothly!

  9. This week was very exciting because it reminded me how challenging physics is. The new concepts were at first difficult for me to grasp (why sorry momentum when force is just as cool?), but I have come to view momentum as equally interesting as the latter study. I am worried about my time management as we head into next week, so I plan on organizing my time based on realistic but determined study and project goals every day. Thank you for reading this. Have a good day!

  10. So far, I have really enjoyed this chapter on momentum. The only problem I have encountered this far is time management. With getting home so late, I end up falling asleep before I do my homework, leaving me with absolutely no time to do any of it. I wish there were more hours in a day, as I could really use them! Overall, I am feeling good about this chapter. Hopefully I’ll find more time when I get acclimated to going to school again.

  11. This week has gone really well. I study diligently for the test and i feel like a made a good grade. Lightbulb challenge was great! I had so much fun designing the lightbullb. I’m proud of myself and I worked hard and it payed off. I’m really excited for the king of the hill project! I have really good ideas and I can’t wait to try them out!
