Hon Chemistry 2-28-18 Resonance & Polyatomic Ions

HON CHEMISTRY: Wow! Lewis structures, multiple bonds, and now resonance, and now polyatomic ions! That’s a lot you’ve conquered in the last couple of days!

Here’s some good advice – don’t take shortcuts. Learn the proper steps on the easier molecules, and you’ll be able to do the hard ones. And if it’s still all Greek to you, don’t worry! Keep practicing and you’ll get it, I promise!! Don’t forget to count electrons and don’t forget CONS!

  1. This week I would rate myself 5/5. I have kept up in class on how to draw the Lewis Structure and I have done all my homework.

  2. I would rate myself a 3/5 this week because I still have some trouble with the Lewis Structures. On the bright side, I think I did well on my last test!

  3. This week I rate myself a 4/5 because I kept up with all my homework and think I have the Lewis Structures down pretty good.

  4. I would rate myself a 4/5 this week because I’ve kept up with the work pretty well but nobody’s perfect. I know I don’t have it 100% down yet.

  5. A struggle for this week is that I’m missing two days and I’m just basically trying my best at this point. Hopefully my friends can help me at this point 🙂

  6. This week was a triumph for me. I’ve completwly understood Lewis Structures and the homework seemed easy to me.

  7. I rate myself a 4/5 this week mainly because I’ve been doing my absolute best to complete my homework without procrastination, which hopefully is a long-term habit. I get most of what we are learning, my only struggle is knowing which pair is a line and which single atoms are also a line BUT I think I finally get it.

  8. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. I was surprised that I could understand most of the new content we learned. I listened and it really paid off. I really enjoy drawing Lewis structures, and I feel like I am doing a good job at them.

  9. I rate myself a 4/5 this week because I have done most of the homework and I mostly understand the lessons, even though I’ve been running around backstage like a chicken with my head cut off. 🙂

  10. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. I have been able to keep up with notes and homework, despite my lack of togetherness due to play.

  11. This week was a triumph because I have understood the lesson and enjoyed the leis structures. I have also stayed on top of my work and am hoping to do well when we have the test next week!

  12. I’m struggling this week with Lewis structures and I missed a day of class, so that didn’t help. I’m hoping that watching the vodcast is going to get me back on track.
