Physics 2-21-18 Pascal’s Law

PHYSICS: Did you realize that fluids could produce that much force? Make’s you wonder at the awesome way God designed those beautiful under water sea creatures to withstand so much pressure, doesn’t it? This little creature is a lionfish from the waters of Lembeh, Indonesia.

Oh, and here’s the lecture on Pascal’s law and hydraulics and the like.

  1. This week in physics I would rate myself a 4 out of 5. I am understanding the concepts of buoyant forces and the laws that come along with it. The take-home lab that we did also helped me apply those concepts to correctly guess the outcome. I feel very confident about these concepts and problems. I also did well on the homework that we had this week so I hope to keep it up and continue to do good.

  2. This week I would rate myself a four out of five. Even though I missed class on Tuesday, I feel as though I caught on to buoyancy fairly well. I was confused a little bit on the conceptual problems. On the other hand, I think that I did well on all of the other problems. My lab partner and I prepared our T-bots in a very short amount of time. I need to do some brainstorming this weekend over what we are gong to do our video on.

  3. This week in physics has been pretty rough. I only went to class for one day, but I think I did well that day. I would have to rate myself 4/5 for the week because I didn’t get behind and my partner and I fixed the T-bot and we have a good idea of what we’re doing Monday.

  4. This week in physics was rough. I was sick and only came to class one day. I would rate myself 4/5 because I didn’t get behind and finished all my work. My partner and I worked hard on our T-bot and have it working. We have a good idea of what we’re doing Monday and we are definitely going to win. I’m ready to get back at it next week.

  5. I would rate myself a 3/5 this week. I didn’t really do anything because I wasn’t here all week. I’m going to watch the vodcasts so that I can learn all the things that everyone else learned this week and I’m ready for the lab Monday.

  6. I would rate myself a 4/5 this week in physics. I enjoyed the lecture on buoyancy and understood the concepts. I used those concepts on the thLab and homework and was able to do them fairly easily. Most importantly, I wrote up almost all of my labs and did both of my extra credit science in the newses so I was able to get pretty far ahead.

  7. This week in Physics I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 stars. Even though most of the class wasn’t here because of the Influenza outbreak of 2018, I really enjoyed learning about Pascal’s Law and how the mass of an object is displaced when it is floating on water. The thLABs that go with each concept really help me to understand each law, and I really enjoyed fixing the T-bots. Next week I am going to work hard to finish all of my work before I leave for Costa Rica!

  8. This was a short week in physics, not only because it was a short week but also because half of the class was out with influenza. I have done very well on the hardest part of the chapter, the conceptual questions. I have also done well with the math, as it isn’t that bad (yet). We had a lot of fun with the T-Bots today even if I got sprayed with food coloring. I’ll have to work on writing up all of my labs this weekend and preparing for the test coming up soon!
