Hon Chemistry 1-9-18 Wave Properties of Light

HON CHEMISTRY: Isn’t this a super cool picture of light? So tell me again, if we’re supposed to be figuring out electrons, why are we studying waves?

How’d you like the light problems so far? I forgot to hit “resume recording” after I paused, I’m posting a lecture from last year. We’ll resume with the photoelectric effect tomorrow!

  1. This week so far, my triumph has been understanding the lesson and doing the light lab. The spectrograph lab was so fun and I enjoyed looking at the lights too!

  2. struggle: I struggled trying to get back in the school routine. I also need to study the formulas because I have struggled in that too! Next week, hopefully I will be on track.

  3. This weak I would rate myself 4/5 because I understand the math portion of the lesson and got most of the homework right. I also liked looking through the diffraction grating to see the different visible light colors.

  4. I rate myself a 4/5 this week in Chemistry! We’ve only had three days this week but I’m ready for more. Although, I am still a little disoriented with all these new terms. I loved the diffraction grating activity, but all of the colors spinning made me hypnotized LOL. I can’t wait for Thursday and Friday! Love, Harrison
