Web Post Comments Ideas

Happy Wednesday! Are you having a difficult time understanding what a good web post comment is? In the future, you will probably be taking online classes where you will have to be part of online class discussion groups, and you’ll be graded on your comments and how you participate.

Here is a plan that will help you! Your goal is to have STAR Web Post Comments. Hokey title, but maybe it will stick! Click here on the STAR Web Post Comments Idea Sheet for ideas for good comments that will receive credit.

IMPORTANT: Make double dog sure you write your name in your web post the correct way. If your name/heading is not written correctly, you will not receive any credit for making the web post.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Click on the title of any web post from the week that I have made for your class.
  2. Scroll to the very bottom of it where it says “Leave a Reply” – you may have to scroll past comments from other people, but you can reply to those also!
  3. Enter your name correctly and your email.
  4. Type in your comment (see the info above.)
  5. Type in the Anti Spam characters in the space provided.
  6. Click Post Comment and you are done!

  1. This week I accomplished lighting a bunsen burner. After many failed attempts, the spark did ignite the flame (or in this case the bunsen burner).

  2. Triumph: This week I have managed my time well by working on the Lab packet and answering a few questions every night to balance the workload.

  3. This week of Chemistry was a triumph for me. I’m definitely still getting used to the fast-paced nature of this class. Everything seems like you only have a split second to write/observe/study it before having to apply it. But using my time, organization, and wise planning, I’ve gotten much better at managing myself all in this first week.

  4. So far this week has been a triumph for me I would rate myself a 4/5 because I feel like I have done pretty well in all of the labs this week and kept up with all the questions and homework that have been assigned but I did struggle with massing the sand/salt mixture in Tuesday’s lab

  5. I rate myself a 4/5 for this week because I have finished all the labs with time left with exception to the filtering lab in which I struggled a little bit. I have also managed my time well by doing a couple of the questions from the lab every night.

  6. i have relearned how to light a bunsen burner and I also learned how to use filter paper. i would probably rate myself 3 out of 5 because everything is self-explaining. Even though i get confused by some of the instructions, but i ask questions about it. i think if i take great notes and ask questions, i will be set for this class.

  7. This week in chemistry was a triumph for me. My lab partner and I work very well together for the first week. I did well of measuring the mass of the sand and salt. I have been successful of keeping up with answering the questions in the packet and taking notes off the board to help with the labs.

  8. This week in Chemistry I rate myself a 4/5. The stress is getting to me because really want to do well in chemistry and I want everything to click right away. My lab partner and I excelled in all the labs this week and we are communicating, reading directions, and working fast and efficiently. I really hope I come out successful in this class!

  9. this week has been a triumph for me. i understood all the labs we did and i asked questions to better help myself and my lab partner. using my time wisely and completing a few questions every night, along with gradually building in study time, made this week a lot less stressful than it could have been.

  10. This week was my first time lighting a Bunsen burner which was both exciting and scary to me. last time I lit a flame with a flint, I burnt half my lip, and it left a scar which I still have today, but when I lit my Bunsen burner and my mouth wasn’t on fire, I had a feeling of pride and triumph was over me. Overall, I can’t wait to see how I will severely injure and/or scar myself this year, but, in reality, I believe I’m going to have a fun and successful year of Chemistry!

  11. Struggle: I had a relativity hard time lighting the Bunsen Burner at first but luckily I think I finally got the hang of it! I caught up with the other skills pretty easily and I am really excited to start the year!

  12. This week in chemistry I rate myself a 4/5 because I am doing the hands on work really well. I have been completing the homework everynight, keeping a steady pace while doing a lab, and writing down everything that I see so that my observations are detailed and my notes are thorough.

  13. Struggle: I had a relatively hard time getting the Bunsen Burner to light. Luckily, I think I finally got the hang of it, though. The other skills way easier and My partner and I pulled them off. Glad this year is off to a good start so far!

  14. The labs assigned this week were a triumph for me. Reading the labs the night before as instructed, I understood what I was doing. My lab partner and I were able to successfully complete the tasks within a reasonable time period. Sounds like a nice start to an interesting year to me!

  15. This week I had a hard time figuring out how to adjust the flame of the bunsen burner. I finally figured out which knob to turn today during the lab.

  16. Triumph: This week was definitely a triumph for me. My lab partner and I worked well together and managed our time well. I also stayed on top of all of my notes and homework. very excited for this year!

  17. This week was definitely a triumph for me. I understood all the labs we did and was able to light the bunsen burner. My lab partner and I worked well together and managed our time well. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

  18. This week in chemistry I would rate myself a 4/5. I have stayed on top of my homework, and I have made sure that I checked the blog everyday. In addition to this, I have made sure to pay attention in class, and have taken notes on everything. I still feel like I may have done better because there is always room to improve.

  20. I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 for this week. A triumph I accomplished is working ahead on the lab packet so I wouldn’t have to do a lot on the last night. Also I struggled with the instructions, but after questions I understood them.

  21. This week I have successfully lit a Bunsen burner for the first time. I am glad that this year in chemistry is off to a great start.

  25. This week has been a triumph for me. I studied hard and I think I passed my first chemistry test. I can’t wait to see what this class has in store for me and my awesome classmates!!!! I think chemistry will be a great class for me!!

  26. Triumph: Today I successfully took (And hopefully passed) my first Chemistry Test!! This is only possible because of my hard work this week and all the studying I have done. Hard work truly does pay off.

  27. Application: I learned how to use all the lab equipment safely this week. All that I have learned this week will help me safely and efficiently get my labs done this year!

  28. I would rate myself a 4/5 for this week because me and my lab partner got a little behind at first on the labs but we were able to catch up by managing our time during the other labs throughout the week.

I feel like I struggled with staying calm and not freaking out in class and I am trying to take my parents’ advice in getting used to the new school schedule and hopefully I will adapt to the schedule I have. This is my comment for the week.

  31. I feel like I struggled with staying calm and not freaking out in class and I am trying to take my parents’ advice in getting used to the new school schedule and hopefully I will adapt to the schedule I have. This is my comment for the week. I redid this because I entered my name wrong in the first comment you may have seen I apologize for that and will try not to make the same mistake again.

  32. For my first week of chemistry, I would rate myself a 5/5! I made sure I worked efficiently and studied in advance for my test (which I think I did very well on!). I can’t wait for next week!

(second comment because I entered my name wrong I think :/ )

  34. I would rate myself a 3/5 because me and my lab partner got behind on a lab but we eventually caught up. Another reason why is because I couldn’t stay calm about the test coming up and I got really tense about it. This is my comment for the week.

  35. This week I give myself a 3/5. In the lab I managed to catch up after falling behind on the first day, and learned some interesting things about salt. However, I didn’t feel as prepared on the test as I should have. I should have spent more time studying and looking over the packet. Overall, this was a successful first full week of Chemistry.

  36. I would rate myself a 4/5 this week. I feel like I did well in the labs and learned how to use all of the equipment properly. I also feel like I did good on the test, but I forgot about doing this comment so it is late.
