Hon Chemistry 5-2-17 Kinetic Molecular Theory & Pressure

HON CHEMISTRY: Who knew there could be so much to learn about gases! And we’ve only just begun! Here’s the lecture on the kinetic molecular theory. Remember, don’t just know, know why!

  1. This week has been very long. I feel pretty good about the test we had on Monday on Stoichiometry, but the new chapter we are learning for some reason is not clicking with me. Hopefully after working the problems for homework it’ll make more sense. Maybe this weekend I can re-watch some of the vodcasts and that might help some too because it’s not only the math but also the concept that is hard for me to understand.

  2. I struggled this week with the new chapter. As simple as the gas laws and pressure theories may be, all the application is really confusing me. One of my old teachers used to say, “I will not spoon-feed you!” It’s a silly illustration, but I’ve realized throughout the year that you haven’t either. Thankfully, you have been slowly preparing us to apply our knowledge, but now, the application is up to us… that scares me a little, but I’m praying that I can finish strong! 🙂

  3. I would rate this week a 2/5. I felt prepared for the test Monday but when I worked the math problems felt very unsure and needed more practice. In this new lessen I can use a specific formula to get the right answer so I’m doing better mathematics wise. On the application I understand when you explain it to me, but I’m having trouble doing it on my own.
