Chemistry 4-10-17 Dipoles

CHEMISTRY: Happy Monday! So why is molecular geometry important? I mean why is knowing the correct shape of molecules? Here’s the beginning of the answer! Great job on drawing dipoles. We’ll continue our discussion on intermolecular forces tomorrow.

Physics 4-11-17 Sound Intensity and Resonance

PHYSICS: Happy Monday! Good to be back to sound!

We had to play a little catch up today from last week, so this vodcast from last year will give you today and then a heads up for tomorrow!

Couple of items to apply for discussion (for tomorrow!) – so how does the whole hearing thing work? I mean, I know the little bones in your ear move, but why? Is resonance involved? Great item for application/discussion! And here’s another – why would different violins produce different sounds? I mean, is a Stradavarius valued so highly just because of the name? Let’s talk more about that!

Hon Chemistry 4-10-17 The Activity Series

HON CHEMISTRY: What!?! You mean there aren’t little blue people on lonely country roads? 😉

Great job applying the activity series! A couple of things – make sure you’ve memorized the activity series, but just as importantly, make sure you know how to use it. Now go forth and practice what you’ve learned!
