  1. This week was very easy to me. I am understanding the sources and uses of elements well. I rate myself a 5/5 for this week.

    • I would rate myself a 4/5 this week because the lessons this week were easy to understand and follow. I also felt that I understood the cLAB that we went over this week. Most of the elements I understood and got right and I felt that I got a better understanding of the elements after the lab.

  2. This week in chemistry we finished the Element Reverse Scavenger Hunt. While doing the scavenger hunt, I learned a lot of new information about several different elements. While going over the answers in class, I realized that I need to work on doing research on my own because there were several where I didn’t have enough information or that I missed completely. I learned that in the future I need to look for more information while I’m researching for assignments.

  3. I rate myself a 5/5 this week I researched really well. When we went over it I didn’t have to change much.

  4. i would rate myself a 3/5 for this week.this week, we finished the element scavenger hunt. i learned so much from this clab and i think i did very well on it. one struggle i had this week was getting my test back. i can fix that by studying more the next time

  5. This week in chemistry has really encouraged me. I am beginning to really enjoy the subject and it amazes me how God made all of these elements with their properties in mind. I am going to try to get a 90 on a test this year and I know I can with hard work.

  6. This week I rate myself a 4 /5. My test score wasn’t too good but I found all of the cLab and did my homework. I’m not understanding want we’re learning very well.

  7. This week in chemistry we completed the Element Reverse Scavenger Hunt. This scavenger hunt really helped me to learn more information about all the elements and will help me better prepare for the test.

  8. this week i understood the elements and the test wasn’t very good. i could have studied better and taken better notes. i rate myself a 4/5

  9. This week I would rate myself a 3.5/5 because I missed days and struggled with catching up. I did understand the material I learned in class. I felt I took very good notes, but I need to catch up by watching the vodcasts. I also struggled with the scavenger hunt. I did not manage my time very well. I had the s, d, and f blocks done but left the p unfinished. I did not have the quantity, but I felt that I searched for small details which will help me later on the test. I also felt I am doing good on homework and review problems.

  10. This week I rank myself a 3/5. I did really bad on my test. I did make up all the work that I missed when I was gone and I feel like that will really bring my grade up. I also did all of the homework due this week. I’m hoping I make a good grade on the lab and test next week and I’ll be sure to do my extra credit.

  11. This week in chemistry my triumph was getting all the elements right on the scavenger hunt. I would rate myself a 3/5 because I didn’t do well on my test. Next week I need to study hard to do well on the test.

  12. This week in chemistry was a good one for me. My triumph was doing good on the test we got back and on the element scavenger hunt. The struggle I had was not giving myself enough time to do all the homework. I would rate myself a 3/5 for the week.

  13. This week I rate myself a 3/5. I did a good job finishing the clab this week but I was disappointed in my test grade. I hope to improve by studying more for the next test

  14. This week in chemistry my triumph was I did good on the element search. My struggle was I got my test back and didn’t make a so good grade. I would rate myself a 2/5.

  15. This week hasn’t been good with my bad test grade and the Clab. I need to work on my time management more and I need to establish better studying habits

  16. This week in chemistry I did very good in the element handbook and communicated very good with other people in my group about the handbook. I also did decent on my test and was pleased with my work I would rate myself a 4/5.

  17. This week i would rate myself a 4/5. I used my time well on the clab and I felt like I wrote enough information as well. I learned a lot of new things about some elements as well. The one thing I could work on is studying for tests better because my studying effort showed in my test grade this week.

  18. I would rate myself a 4/5 this week because I understood everything and finished the scavenger hunt completely but I forgot to do one homework

  19. I leave myself a 2/5 because I wasn’t at school at all, so now I have to learn everything. I did do good on the scavenger hunt .

  20. Rate: 4/5
This week I felt as though I grasped the new concepts very well. Eventhough this week was very hectic with the basketball game and the play, I still got all my work done and succeeded in working ahead and watching some of the videos you required us to view. Although I had a hard time on the last test I feel as though I will do really well on the next on if I continue to work at the pace I am going at and maintain to keep grasping the new information as well as I did this week!

  21. This week I would rate myself a 4/5 I did very good on the scavenger hunt but not as good on the test as I had hoped. I need to study better next time.

  22. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. To start off the week I finished my scavenger hunt for elements and I learned that some elements can be used in many common every day things and also used in many things I would never expect it to be in. My plan for this weekend is to start studying for the test next week so that I can be fully prepared for it.

  23. I would rate myself a 4/5 this week. I got an 88 on my test and i really understand what we are learning about

  24. My triumph this week was my test grade. I was very happy to see what I achieve for this test, though I felt I could’ve done better if I had retaken the test. I would say that my struggle this week is learning a new material for this chapter. Because most of the information so far is memorization,I will begin studying for the test 2-3 day in advance, since it help me abundantly for the last chapter.

  25. This week we had multiple assignments at once that really tested our time management skills and showed us how much time compared to how much we spend, and how much we need to spend on our daily study/homework times. I’m not saying that i have it figured out but i challenge everyone, including myself, to work on how much you spend on each assignment and finish out the 9 weeks strong!

  26. This week has been challenge because of this chapter. There are so much information to learn and memorize. I need to start focusing more and study sooner.

  27. This week in chemistry, I would rate myself a 5/5. I am understanding everything about the elements and how the principles work. I was happy to see what I made on the test without retaking it. There is a lot of information we learned this week, so I will have to study a lot for this upcoming test.

  28. I have really learned a lot this week and I have really enjoyed it! I’ve always known there were many periodic trends, but I never have really understood why until this week. It was also very interesting learning about the uses of all the elements and how they play into our everyday lives! I would rate myself a 4.5/5 this week.

  29. I have learned so much this week and I have really enjoyed it! I have always known that the periodic table had many trends, but it wasn’t until this week that I learned about the reasons those trends exist. It was also really neat learning about all the elements and how their uses apply to our everyday lives. I would rate myself a 4.5/5 this week.

  30. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. We have been learning about all of the trends in the periodic table. It was really interesting to see how certain things relate and affect each other. I liked learning about the elements and all of their uses. I am going to start studying this weekend, so that I will hopefully do well on the test.

  31. This week in chemistry I would rate myself a 4/5. I feel like I’m understanding this chapter better and I have learned a lot this week.

  32. This week, I rate myself a 4/5. I took good notes on outer energy levels and learned a lot about the elements doing the reverse scavenger hunt

  33. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. I did a very good job on working ahead and getting my work done this week. I also fully understood the lessons we learned. I need to do a better job studying for my next test.

  34. This week was pretty easy learning how all the elements are pretty much in our everyday lives and what we use them for from the clab.

  35. i have learned so much this week and i have really enjoyed it! in the past, i had learned about periodic trends, but it wasn’t until this week that i really understood why the trends happened! it was super cool to see how everything connects and how these patterns form! it was also very interesting to see how all the elements we researched and their uses apply to our everyday lives! chemistry is all around us and we barely even know it.

my only problem was not spending enough time on a few homework problems. i missed a few that could have easily been correct if i had looked a little closer. overal, this was a very successful week. i would rate myself a 4.5/5!

  36. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. I stressed a lot because I missed two days because of the play. I learned this week about the cons of arsenic. I also learned about the elements more, and enjoyed discovering how much an element is in my everyday life.

  37. Ok wow so I really thought today was Friday but this week in chemistry I really enjoyed finding out about how elements play into everyday objects. I stayed on task with the research and didn’t get behind that much at all.
