Physics 12-7-16 Chapter 5 Review Worksheet 2

PHYSICS – Now this is a lot of grocery carts! I’m not going to even think about how much work would be done in moving them!

No audio on today’s recording! So, here’s the vodcast of the work we did a couple of years ago on the problems and questions from the Chapter 5 Worksheet 2. It doesn’t have all the problems we did in class today, so below that I’ll post the vodcast from today in case you want to just see what we did – remember on that one, no audio!

Help session tomorrow morning at 7:20ish A.M. God bless you as you continue to prepare for the test! I’m praying for you!!!

  1. I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 for this week so far. The Power Lab that we did in class on Monday went very well, and I really enjoyed learning about the concept of power because the Power Worksheet really made sense to me. The Ch. 5 Review Worksheet II was a great overview for the test. It allowed me to understand some concepts much better, and I finally realized my problem with finding FN today! I can’t believe that I just taught myself something completely wrong in order to find the normal force. Thank you so much for helping me to finally understand the concepts behind it! I should have realized my problem and asked for help so much sooner. I am practicing everything for this test and making sure that I am extremely comfortable with the concepts as well. I really hope that the help session tomorrow morning will help me even more, and I really hope that I will be ready to tackle this chapter 5 test!

  2. I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 for this week. For the most part, I feel like the reviews have gone fairly well. I felt very prepared today for the test. The power lab went well; however, Pat and I ended up having to remeasure the distance of the steps because we knew it ended up seeming odd after we looked at it. Finally, the reason I would not give myself a 5 out of 5 is because I have not been great with my time management and have waited till the last second for two lab reports and my extra credit. Nonetheless, I shall get them done!

  3. I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 this week. On homework, I did very well on the power problems. The power lab was probably the easiest time I have had on a lab all year. The class was able to figure out a procedure that was easy to follow and we figured it out quickly. I learned how force, distance, and time relate to power from this lab. I was also able to figure out all of the review problems. I feel like I prepared well for the test and hopefully I did well on that.

  4. I would give myself a 4.5 out of 5 for this week. Did really well compared to last week. The I did very well on the power and chapter 5 review worksheets. This was an improvement from last week when I didn’t know what to do. I also did better on preparing for the test. Instead of focusing on only conceptual things, I practiced setting up problems and using different formulas. This really helped me on the test because I was able to work the problems faster. The only thing I struggled with was lab reports. I let my lab reports backup, so I had to catch up on them all this week; however, I only have l more to go.

  5. This week, I’d give myself a 4 out of 5. The power lab and worksheet went really smoothly. Power as a whole worked really well for me. I was able to understand the concept very well and apply it to a lab with ease. The review worksheet went pretty well. Though one of the concepts confused me (due to strange wording) and led to a rather heated debate between Patrick & I, I believe that I now understand the concept much better. The wording just really threw me off. In regards to the test, I feel semi confident about this one. I believe that I prepared well for this test and am curious to see how I did. The highlight of this week was actually the Tarzan and Jane problem. After being puzzled by it for the longest time, I was able to figure it out with no assistance from anyone else. That really gave me the confidence boost I needed to take my Ch. 5 test. The reason that I am not giving myself a perfect score this week is that I did not budget my time the best, which has left me with several labs to finish up.

  6. This week, I rate myself a 4.5 out of 5. I did really well I felt. The test was much easier than I expected, although I attribute this to the work we did at the beginning of the week. As I was doing the review worksheets, things began to click, and everything finally fell into place. This week, I also finished all but one of my lab reports, and was even able to start on my study guide. I really feel that this week was a very good learning week for me and a very productive week towards to end of the week.
