  1. This week in chemistry we learned about acids and bases while taking our last notes of the year. Today we did our last lab of the year, which was to see how dense beads are in different substances. I had fun doing the lab, and I was able to complete it efficiently. I’ve also been looking over the study guide, and it will be a really good way to prepare myself for the exam. For these reasons, a rate myself a 4/5 for the week so far. This year in chemistry has been a struggle, but I have had fun along the way, and have worked really hard. I am determined to finish the year strong by doing well on my exam. Thank you Ms. Skinner!

  2. This week I would rate myself at 4 out of 5. I feel like I understood the lab and did really well on it. I need to go ahead and start studying for the exam because it is going to be pretty difficult. I feel like if I give myself enough time to prepare for this exam and do not cram at the last minute I will do well.

  3. this week of rate myself a 4 out of 5. I understood the lab and finished in plenty of time to finish all the questions. I’m doing the study guide for the exam. Some of the stuff I don’t remember that well, but I’m going to practice so I can make a good grade on the exam.

  4. This week in chemistry was a very interesting. We learned about how immiscible liquids could effect the floating or sinking of a beads. I haven’t started my exam review, because of the other exams that I have to take. But I’m going to do all of them this weekend and I also borrowed a book so I think that would help tremendously.

  5. Wow I can’t believe this is my last web post. It’s been a crazy year in chemistry. This year has been filled with amazement, tears, laughs, and a lot more mental breakdowns and tears. I struggled a lot this year with the tests and understanding material(hence the mental breakdowns) ,but I always perserved. This class has pushed me to the breaking point and pushed me beyond my ability to be the best student I could be. With the exam coming up, I plan on studying as much as possible to finish the year with a huge smile unlike the tears from the beginning. let’s do this :-).

  6. This year has been a struggle but I’ve learned so much! I would rate myself a 4/5 this week because I’ve been preparing for the exam and doing the study guide! I’m thankful that you pushed us to do our very best and pushed us beyond our limits because I feel as if I’ve grown in every way possible!

  7. Well I can officially say I have made it through chemistry! This week we learned about acids and bases and did labs and little side experiments. I woudk give myself a 4/5 just because on the lab we weren’t fully arranged. I have really enjoyed chemistry it was a struggle at times, but all in all I know the class has prepared me not only as a student but also as a person. Thanks for teaching me that I can do it and to always try and never give up.

  8. This week in chemistry I would rate myself 4/5 stars. My lab partner and I understood and completed our last lab of the year. I have been practicing problems on the exam review packet and have been reviewing polyatomic ions and common substances in preparation for the final exam. I can finally say I made it through chemistry and I appreciate everything this class has taught me. I will continue to study for the exam and plan to finish out the year with a good grade. Thank you Mrs. Skinner.
