  1. this week I learned how certain thing occur around our nature. We did several experiments in class to show how pressure works. I struggled with our homework problems but once it was explained more I understand them better now. I would rate myself a 4/5 for this week.

  2. This week it was really interesting to see all that we were learning be applied in the expirements we did in class. It really helped me learn better and get a grasp of what was happening. I also succeeded on the test because I changed my study habits. I rate myself a 4/5 this week

  3. This week we learned about gases and pressure. I had a some difficulty with some of the homework but as class went on I now understand better. I enjoyed the little mini experiments you showed in class. I did better on the test than I had anticipated considering how much I missed when learning that chapter. I would give myself a 4/5 stars because of some of the struggle with understanding the lesson at first.

  4. This week was a lot of fun (besides the test). I really enjoyed class time and understood it so throughly. I wish we had a chapter test over this material because I would do so well! My test grade wasn’t great at all but was much better than I was expecting. This year in chemistry has certainly pushed me and helped me learn in so many different ways.

  5. This week I learned about air pressure, it’s various theories and laws, and how fundamental they are. I learned how density changes when volume changes, how hot air balloons fly, and what narcosis is. I’d rate myself 4/5, as there’s always room for improvement

  6. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. I did better on this weeks test than I have in the past but i still think I could have done better. The take home lab was fun and I think it helped me understand the lesson better.

  7. This week I learned about pressure and its laws. I struggled with the homework but when we went over it I understood it better. I’m going to have to get started on the study guide soon. I would rate myself a 3/5 this week.

  8. This week we learned about gas laws. I enjoyed the many examples we did in class showing the the glass laws including the hot air balloon. I think that if I study the information enough I will gain a understanding for it so I can do well on the final.

  9. This week we took our chapter 8 test. I studied and prepared a lot for it. Because of this, I made a good grade and I am very proud of myself for that. Also we learned about gas laws and how hot air balloons work. This was very educating and a good way to end the year. I rate myself 5/5 this week.

  10. This week I would rate myself a 4 out of 5. I enjoyed learning about gases and pressure and the different laws. I didn’t do very well on my test but I did way better in the multiple choice on this test than any other test.

  11. This week in chemistry I would rate myself a three out of five stars. We began learning about gas laws and expanding our studies beyond chemical change. I feel as though with a new style of note taking and the examples shown, I was able to firmly grasp the concepts at hand. I have also began my preparation for the upcoming exam. After designing a large portion of my study guide already, I feel well prepared for the final task of chemistry.

  12. I learned about gas laws and theories and had fun testing and observing them this week. I would rate myself 4/5 for doing okay on my test ( other than a couple of stupid mistakes) and getting my work done on time.

  13. This week I got my teat back and I did beter than I have been. The balancing equations is what took my grade down but I didnt miss any multiple choice. Grade 3/5

  14. Thsi week we took a test. I thought I did better than I did on it. I only missed one multiple choice which was good for me but I missed most of the balancing equations which I was kinda shocked about. I think once I got to that part of the test I freaked myself out I give myself a 3/5 for the week since I did better on the multiple choice part of the test than I normally do

  15. This week in chemistry we learned about the gas laws and pressure. It was very interesting seeing all the experiments you showed us in class so we could apply it better for the exam and later in life; especially the hot air balloon! Also this week we did a take home lab and observed how different items reacted under pressure. This week I would rate myself a 3.5/5.

  16. This week I am really excited that we are done with chemical formulas and are moving onto something else. So far I really like the gas pressure stuff so far. I hope I’m able to stay caught up with it all.

  17. This week I rate myself a 4/5. I did really well on that test and that gave me the boost of confidence I needed to get through this year in chemistry. This week we learned about the differnt gas laws such as when temperature increases so does the pressure! You taught us that air pressure can really affect our bodies even leading to death. This is the case in scuba diving because if you take a big breath of air filling your lungs and you quickly ruse to the surface of the water adding a lot of pressure it will increase the volume which can cause your lungs to burst!

  18. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. I did not do very good on the test, but I feel good about what we are learning right now. I feel like the experiments that you showed us in class really helped me understand what we are talking about more.

  19. This week in chemistry was one of my favorite weeks by far. This week, we did lots of cool demonstrations in class, such as the hot air balloon and balloon in a cylinder. I did very well on my test this week, which made me very happy. I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 for this week becuase I enjoying learning about pressure in the lessons this week. I wouldn’t rate myself a 5 out of 5 becuase I did not get to complete my extra credit which is very bad. All in all, this week would be a triumph for me.

  20. This week in chemistry, we learned about gas laws. I still don’t quite understand how they work but with some more practice I’m sure I get the hang of it. We also got our test back this week. I did a lot better on my test than I thought I did. I would rate myself a 4/5 this week.

  21. This week in chemistry we are started learning about gas laws! The little mini experiments Ms. Skinner does in class are super cool and interesting and a great way to end out the school year. We also took a test this week. I struggled with this because I’m still having trouble with balancing equations and every little step that goes with them. This week I would rate myself a 3 out of 5 because I need to practice balancing equations and get good at them.

  22. This week in chemistry we learned about gas laws. I really liked all the cool experiments you showed for each law. I fee like it helped all of the information stick. We also took a test, which I feel like I could’ve done a little bit better on balancing the equations. I did really good on the multiple choice, so I feel better about my grade. Since I could’ve studied a little letter for the test, I would rate myself a 4 out 5 for this week in chemistry.

  23. This week in chemistry I enjoyed learning about the gas laws. I feel like it is one of the topics that I understand the best. I thought it was so interesting learning about some of the consequences when coming up too soon while scuba diving. I also enjoyed the take home lab we did. I thought it was cool to see how differ things could be compressed and while others couldn’t. I would rate myself a 3/5.

  24. This week in chemistry was really interesting. Review for the test Monday went well and the test on Tuesday went even better! As we have moved on learning in class the past few days, I’ve really enjoyed learning new things about the world that surrounds me! The Boyle’s Law lab that we completed was very cool. Seeing the marshmallow expand as air pressure decreased was really exciting and surprising. This week I would rate myself a 5/5.

  25. This week, I learned about gas laws. Seeing the examples in class and doing the take-home lab provided a clear picture of how air pressure works and how important it is to learn how it applies in our daily lives. I did not do well on the previous test at all. I plan on retaking it and studying how to balance chemical equation correctly. Overall, I would rate myself a 3/5 for learning a lot about the new material and failing miserably on the test.

  26. This week in chemistry I would give myself a 3/5. I did ok on the test. I had some minor careless mistakes but I should have done better. I should have studied more. With the exam coming up, I’m going to have to work hard to get all of the stuff prepared and work hard at studying it.

  27. I would rate myself 3.5/5 because I knew the material for the rest yet didn’t really capitalize on it. I crumbled under the pressure. I’m learning the gas laws fairly well.

  28. This week in chemistry I would rate myself 3/5 stars. I didn’t do very well on the test, but I completed all of my homework and learned about gases. I really enjoyed learning about gases using the balloons.

  29. This week we did a lab, learned new stuff and took a test. I would rate myself 3/5 because I did good on the lab and learning the new stuff but I didn’t do to well on the test. The lab was very interesting seeing how pressure affects things. I loved the little experiments we did in class to those we’re super cool. The test I just made little mistake on the formulas. The new stuff we are learning has some pretty dapper dudes in it.

  30. This week in chemistry we learned about gas and pressure laws. I really enjoyed this week because of all the in class demonstrations about air pressure. I Would rate myself a 5/5 this week because I feel like I did very well besides chewing gum in class.

  31. This week I struggled mainly on the test with remembering the 17 rules. I got my test back today and I wasn’t too disappointed, but i know I must learn the rules better for the exam. To learn them better I will work problems and balance them (like the test). I think that getting the test back today and seeing what I missed was very beneficial because I know what types I am struggling with.
