Chemistry 10-5-15 Chapter 1 Test Overview

CHEMISTRY – Are you ready? God bless you as you study! Here’s the overview of the test that we did in class today. Speaking of videos – have you watched the video clips on Cu, P, and Si? Yu can find them at www.periodicvideos.com.

Make sure you aren’t just reading your book and notes. First, memorize the facts, then go back and make sure you can apply the concepts. Study examples, make your own examples, practice making questions.   1. This week I learned how to complete a virtual lab! At first I struggled to understand what I was doing, but then I just took my time and made sure I was not frustrated with my computer and I got the lab completed. I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 this week because I had a struggle and overcame it and am excitied to get to complete the lab tomorrow and Friday.

  2. this week I learned how to do my first virtual lab. We learned how to start it off in class Tuesday and my computer was being very slow and it wasn’t working properly. But I finally got through the video (which helped out a lot!) and I learned many new activities and what certain elements do at certain temperatures or in different solutions!!

  3. This week we learned how to do a virtual lab. I struggled the first day doing it because my computer wasn’t working and then i couldn’t get to the lab on the website. But the next day I got it to work better! I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 this week. I am looking forward to finishing my lab tomorrow!

  4. This week I worked on my first virtual lab. I struggled to find time after school to do it, but i finally finished. I was scared i would not understand how to do the lab, but after working on it, it steadily became easier. The virtual lab was a creative way to apply what we have learned. This week i rate myself a 4 out of 5.

  5. This week we did our first virtual lab. At first this lab was a struggle because the online textbook would not work but then the next day I tried again at home and the lab was a success! The virtual lab has helped me apply some things to the real lab. I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 this week.

  6. This week I struggled a lot at the beginning of the lab. I didn’t follow my plan completely and it almost caused me to completely mess up my lab. But my partner and I both worked together to finish the lab. I would rate myself a 3 or of 5 this week during the lab so far.

  7. This week i really enjoyed the virtual lab. It took long to load but it was pretty interesting. I hope I can be successful with this lab today. i would rate myself 3/5 stars for this week.

  8. This week I enjoyed the virtual lab. Today I hope I can finish the separating mixtures lab. I’d give myself a 3/5 for this week.

  9. I rate myself a 7 out of 10 this week. The lab was pretty difficult separating all the materials but I figured out a way to get all the materials separated and pure.

  10. I rate myself a 8 out of 10 because my lab partners and I at first had a hard time figuring out how to separate all the substances but after thinking about it we figured out how to. We also worked more efficiently with each other.

  11. This week I would rate myself a 3/5 because I forgot to print out the lab and read it. Although this week I learned to plan out my assignments better so I would not forget them.

  12. This week I realized that the observations of the lab are not there just to make us do more work.I found the solution to separating my substances in my observations.I realized that the observation and other parts of the lab can actually be beneficial if done correctly

  13. I had a fun time this week doing the separating substances lab. I didn’t feel pressured on time this week unlike other labs. I also liked to do my first virtual lab, I thought it was easy and I would like to do more of them!
