HON CHEMISTRY: Well, here it is, the last of the lectures from chapter 8. A couple of things – make sure you’ve memorized the activity series, but just as importantly, make sure you know how to use it! Those guidelines I gave you in class should really help. Good luck as you study for the test on Thursday! I’ll be praying for you!!
Does the activity series apply to double-replacement reactions?
The activity series is based on single-replacement reactions. So, it probably doesn’t apply. At least, that is what I’m guessing. I could be wrong.
Hope & Adam – Yes, just single replacement!
Will we go over the worksheet tomorrow?
Thank you for putting this on here!
Will we continue to have quizs over the 17 chemical equations throughout the rest of the week?
Will you post yesterday/today’s vodcasts?
Grace – We missed you! Hope you are feeling okay. I just posted the lessons. Holler if they won’t open.
where in science geek is the problems for 17 types of reaction?
Mikul – Go to Chemistry>Review Activities>Unit 4, and there are several tabs to click on that deal with balancing and completing equations. This will be great practice!!
Unit 4 – Conservation of Matter
Identifying the Reaction Type – Identification of Synthesis, Decomposition, Single Replacement, Double Replacement, and Combustion Reactions
Does This Reaction Occur? – Single and Double Replacement Reactions
Predicting the Names of Products
Equation Balancing – Unit 4 Benchmark #2
Equation Balancing – Version B – Unit 4 Benchmark #2
Thanks for the help session today! Hope you feel alright!
Ryan – Thank you!! I feel much better now. 🙂
Will the Combustion Case questions be on the test?
We will be having a help session tomorrow morning right?
Yep!
Katie – Yes! Study hard – I’m praying for you!!
