Chemistry 2-10-12 Periodic Table – History & Electron Configuration

CHEMISTRY: Happy Friday! How did you like playing Mendeleev yesterday? Hopefully it helped you understand the history of the periodic table that we discussed today.

Good job on remembering how to use the periodic table to get electron configuration! Can you do it now without the periodic table? This would be a great vodcast to bookmark, especially as you are learning to find period, block, group, type of element without looking at the periodic table. Don’t forget to practice, and have a great weekend!

  1. Hey! I really enjoyed being Mendeleev yesterday. Hopefully we can maybe do something similar soon. Since the lesson today explains how he did things. I wish I would’ve realized the patterns he used. That wouldv’ve helped me a lot. Haha

  2. Hey Ms. Skinner. Thanks for helping me finally understand the orbitals and todays lesson. I actually look forward to the chapter ahead to see what cool stuff we can learn.

  3. Although slightly complicated, this chapter is incredibly informative pertaining to the organization of the table. The Element Handbook helps a lot to with understanding the properties of certain elements.
