Chemistry 9-30-11 Elements & Intro to the Periodic Table

Well, here’s the last lecture from chapter 1 – an overview of the elements and intro to the periodic table. I don’t think I’ve talked so fast in a long time – And I wasn’t even here! Did you feel like it was mostly review? Let me know how the element handbook search is going. Tell enough, but don’t go into minute detail – just the main facts.

Hey, have you had a chance to check out the Chap 1 Study Suggestions sheet? Let me know if there is anything you need help with before the test on Friday! (BTW – click on the name to open the Chap 1 Study Suggestions sheet.

    • Vasiliy – Cu, Si, and P. And make sure you check out the instructions for the Element Handbook search that are on the syllabus!

  1. I’m wondering if this test will likely be separate. Like tomorrow the test will be on the elements and then the next day it will be on matter and changes. Is that how it’s gonna happen?

    • Torey – Tomorrow the test is just the symbols of the elements. It will be just like the other quizzes that I’ve given you, but it will be written down. Wednesday will be the rest of the chapter. We’ll review it tomorrow.

  2. Thanks Ms. Skinner for giving us the study suggestion sheet for the test tomorrow. It will really help with studying tonight!
