Drew – yes, we’ll have a help session for the chapter 4 problems. To help for now, make sure you know two things – 1) the formulas and how to re-arrange them, and 2) the symbols and units for wavelength, frequency, speed, energy, and Planck’s constant. You know these really well and you’ll be more than half way there!

Democritus was the one who came up with the idea of the atom. Aristotle believed the earth was made up of only four things: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Air maybe?

on our project do the little balls have to be put together or around another ball because if you put them all together you cannot see them all.

they need to be all in one little ball together. it’s ok if you can’t see them all, but they all have to be in a ball. not around anything else.

The idea of the atom has been around since greek times. Democritus was the first person to propose everything was made of atoms.
