Chemistry 10-28-09 Moles, Mass, Atoms Problems Practice

CHEMISTRY: So how big a bucket do you think we’d need to hold a mole of frogs? :) Here’s the practice we did on the mole, mass, atoms problems. Did it help? Just don’t forget the conversion factor, and think through the problems. Put units first and then numbers. Make sure what you’re doing has a reason and makes sense!

Can you convert atoms to grams directly in any fashion?

    wpena hc-4 Reply:

nik you always have to go through moles when converting from atoms to grams so you’ll use these conversions: atoms to moles to grams or grams to moles to atoms

After Chapter3 Test, Are You gonna teach how to convert grams to atoms?

    [Reply]

    Ms. Skinner Reply:

SaeYoung – I’ve already taught you how to convert grams to atoms, or mass to atoms! You first convert from grams to moles, and then from moles to atoms. You use two conversion factors instead of one, but they are the same conversion factors we used in the other problems.
