Physics 10-19-09 Equilibrium Problems Practice

PHYSICS: Great job thinking through the equilibrium problems today. A couple of things that work for me – draw them first. Then go back through and separate resultants into components. If an object is in equilibrium, then there are no net forces – all the forces in the x direction balance – everything left equals everything right, and all the forces up equal all the forces down. Capisce?

The equilibrant forces worksheet was very do-able, for the problems are so closely related to the resultant vector problems we used to do.

I am trying to get a better handle on them problems, but they are easier than I thought they would be.

I got most of the problems on the worksheet last night and am looking forward to completing the lab in class today :)

I liked the lab we did today. Our percent error was amzingly small, too. It was sort of awesome.

I did better than I thought I would do on the equilibrant worksheet :) The problems are SO close to what we’ve been doing. Which is a good thing or I would be completely lost! :)
