Physics 9-8-09 Acceleration Problems 45 and 50
PHYSICS – Okay, this has to be a record for the shortest time spent going over problems, but then we only did a couple! Here’s the review of #45 and 50 we did before we headed out to set the lab for tomorrow. It’s the tennis ball acceleration problem (short and sweet) and the two cars – lead car slower problem.

Ok….I keep forgetting and/or falling asleep before I can post my web post on Friday night so I am going ahead of schedule to post it this Monday. So anyway…this is my post.

Ms. Skinner,
What about sig figs for the upcoming braking distance/time lab? Is there anything specific we should go by, or try to make up our own?

MM – we missed you today! No set sig figs, but just be consistent in the way you do them throughout your lab report. Make sense??

Hey, Ms. Skinner!
Just wanted to ask about what we will do if we don’t finish the lab tomorrow.
Do we just try to drive in the parking lot when no one is there?
Thanks!

Rachel-Chloe – I can’t believe everyone got done so quickly. I guess that means you really knew what you were doing!?!

Ms. Skinner,
The braking distance lab looks fun. Have you ever had an injury or an accident due to this lab?

James – none so far, and lets try to keep that record perfect!

Ms. Skinner,
When writing up the velocity vs. braking distance lab, should we include our analysis of acceleration in our conclusion or in the questions?
thanks, see ya tomorrow!

Lindsee – to tell you the truth, if it were me, I’d probably do it in both. How do your graphs look? Have a great weekend!

i really enjoyed doing the lab of velocity vs. braking distance. it helped me realize how different speeds effect braking.

I really enjoyed doing the lab yesterday-it was much more fun than I thought it would be. Now I just need to finish writing it up…

Hey Ms. Skinner,
Are there any questions for the velocity v. braking distance lab?

Hannah – yes, it’s the couple of questions or so that are on the syllabus. They’re at the end of the description of the lab.

Hey Ms. Skinner! I really liked the activity we did today with the dollar bill. I love how such a simple experiment can give you so much information.
