Hon Chemistry 3-25-09 The Activity Series

HON CHEMISTRY: Well, here it is, the last of the lectures from chapter 8. A couple of things – make sure you’ve memorized the activity series, but just as importantly, make sure you know how to use it! Those guidelines I gave you in class should really help. Good luck as you study for the test on Friday! I’ll be praying for you!!

    JT- Lithium is, but if you’re looking at the halogens, then of course it’s fluorine.

    Yes tyler a good way to memorize the activity series is memorize it to the beat of your favorite song

    manasi- the activity series is a list of elements in the order of how easily they can undergo certain chemical reations.

    John Micheal- a decomposition reaction is a reaction in which a compound is brken down into the two elements that formed it. i hope that helps.
