To answer Brittany Chsiholm’s question, lattice energy is the energy released when one mole of an ionic crystalline compound is formed from gaseous ions.

I still don’t understand the whole lattice energy chart, which would be bigger one with a higher number or lower number since they are all negative?

Marissa-it would be the one with a higher number, like if it were -751 and -639 the one with -751 would have a stringer bond. the minus sign just indicates that energy is released
