Chemistry 1-6-09 Periofic Trends, Part 1

CHEMISTRY: Here’s the lecture from Tuesday on the beginning of the end of chapter 5. :) We began by review some periodic trends like electron configurations and valence electrons. Then, we talked about atomic radii and ionization energy. We’ll try to finish the discussion tomorrow and Thursday.

    I don’t think that someone in particular “discovered” the trends. They are just kind of facts that were noticed after a variety of scientists calculated atomic radius, reactivity, and other stuff like that. :]
